In order to support the education of Out of School Children in the private schools, the Elementary Education Foundation has decided to extend the program of provincial Government to eight further districts.
The Out of School Children of areas where Government schools do not exist with in 1.5 km will be entertained through the extension of this scheme. Since April 2015 under the Iqra Faroghe Taleem Voucher Government has been helping Out of School Children. if we talk about the performance of this program, more than 16000 students are enrolled in the schools on the expense of the Govt in six districts which includes Kohat, Peshawar, Mansehra, D I Khan, Swat and Mardan.
According to the officials this voucher program will further be extended to Bannu, Dir Lower, Shangla, Charsadda, NowSehra, Swabi, Lucky Marwat and Buner in the next academic year. RS 1 billion was proposed to bear the expense of those 40000 for next 3 years.
In order to attract more children towards the education Govt has offered RS 500 tuition fee for the students in primary private schools. Accordingly, tuition fee for students in middle class is Rs 600. The fees of the students in high and high secondary class is Rs 800. Under this program, the students would be paid Rs 3500 for the books and uniform annually.
Last year EEF targeted 30000 ou of school children but could only manage to enroll 16000 students due to lack of awareness. This term EFF is going to start an extensive program for the awareness of this program, so that most students can get enrolled in schools and get education. During the process of out of school children, he said that parents were eager to enroll their children in the private schools at government expenses during the selection drive.
